This handheld labyrinth is crafted from natural terracotta clay. Each piece is shaped by hand, blending the timeless beauty of ancient labyrinth patterns with the grounding feel of handmade pottery.

Finger labyrinths are often used as a tool for mindfulness and meditation. Tracing the path with your finger can help quiet the mind, ease stress, and encourage inner reflection. Many people find it to be a soothing alternative to plastic fidget or sensory toys — a more natural way to find calm.

Each labyrinth has a soft, natural sheen created by carefully burnishing the clay with a smooth river stone before firing. It’s then kiln-fired at 1100°C, making it durable, water-resistant, and ready for everyday use.

A thoughtful gift for anyone seeking stillness, balance, or a touch of handmade beauty in their daily routine.

My Story

Hello there, and thank you for stopping to read about me.

I am ieva (with i, not L) from Audley in Staffordshire. I work with British sheep wool, transforming it from raw, straight from the sheep’s back fleece, to felted, woven and stitched things. Reasons for choosing wool are twofold. I immensely enjoy the feel and the look of wool in any of its transformation stages. And secondly, I see it as one of the most sustainable and circular life materials. I have to mention that a few years back, I was still doing ceramics – making and teaching.

10 years ago, my youngest (22) daughter tragically died. Since then, it’s been a very bumpy road towards having at least some sense of normality. This year, at the age of 54, I have been diagnosed as having Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

I avoid using AI for my creative work and writing, and just in general. They use way too much energy and water, and that’s before even mentioning breaching copyrights.
