Mightie Makers Pact

(aka Seller Terms)

Mightie Makers is a very unique marketplace. Our Mightie Makers Pact must always reflect our values and ethos so a positive, supportive community is essential to help and encourage sellers to be successful. In order to uphold our code of conduct, we ask that our Mighties adhere to the following:

1. BE HONEST ABOUT YOUR VALUES

Our conscious shoppers are important to us. They buy safe in the knowledge they are supporting Mighties with their life challenges. Therefore, your Health or Carer Story (in your shop settings) plus the challenges selected must be the whole truth and nothing but the truth and do not contain any false, inaccurate or misleading information.

2. BE SUPPORTIVE & KIND

In order to promote a healthy and supportive community and marketplace, we expect our sellers to be kind and communicate in a supportive and non-discriminatory manner with customers, fellow Mighties, experts and owners of Mightie Makers. Our community group the ‘Mighties Club’ on Facebook, is provided as a support network for friendship with other Mighties and for Knowledge Experts and to share information and advice.

The following behaviour, is therefore not permitted:

1. No personal attacks
2. No “calling out” (identifying someone you are claiming to have breached the terms of use)
3. No racist, sexist or hateful content or rants
4. No spam or promotion of other competitor services
5. No vulgarity or swearing
6. No “trolling”
7. No defamation of others
8. No bringing Mightie Makers into disrepute

If anyone is found to be behaving in ways described above, their shop may be suspended or deleted and their content removed along with removal from our Mighties Club.

3. BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SUCCESS

We challenge you to immerse yourself in everything that’s on offer through your online shop, Mighties Club community group and Mightie Masterclasses. Mightie Makers is here to empower you to create and grow your business while showing the world how talented we are. We can advise and support you, but ultimately creating sales and running your handmade craft business is in your hands. Creating beautiful crafts is only part of the process, networking, promoting and running a business etc are all important too. You will find lots of helpful topics in our Masterclasses.

4. BE RESPECTFUL

Please don’t use Mightie Makers or Mighties Club to promote products for sale on other platforms (eg Etsy, your own website). Please support the site by shouting loud and proud about Mightie Makers (you are of course welcome to sell anywhere). Do not link to your own website or other selling platform either in your shop, product listings or posts/comments within our Mighties Club. Mightie Makers primary purpose is a marketplace to sell your items from our website and must not be used as a lead generation or marketing tool to direct customers elsewhere. You can however add your social network links to build your following in your shop settings.

If selling to fellow Mighties, all sales MUST go through MightieMakers.co.uk marketplace. This ensures security for your customers and enables Mighties to leave each other reviews to help grow each others businesses.

Do not use Mightie Makers website, community or social media accounts to entice our sellers to join another selling platform or your own marketplace.

2. Adult or pornographic products

9. PRODUCTION METHODS

Only handmade products are allowed on Mightie Makers. This includes designs created by Mighties which are then printed elsewhere. You can also sell your craft supplies as another Mighties surplus is another makers treasure!

10. POSTAGE

You are responsible for posting items to customers directly. This must be within the ‘Dispatch Time’ specified in your product listing. If, for whatever reason, you are unable to do so, you must inform your customer and email Hello@MightieMakers.co.uk within 48 hours.

11. PACKAGING

We’d love everyone to move towards eco-friendly packaging at your own pace. Please reuse what you already have, even if it’s plastic, rather than binning it. When you’re buying new, try to find affordable, lower-impact options where possible (recycled/recyclable paper or card, paper tape, compostable or recycled bags, envelopes or boxes). Try to avoid buying new single-use plastic if you can.

No rush, no pressure. Do what’s realistic for you. A quick sticker or note inviting customers to reuse the packaging is brilliant. Together we’ll take care of our Mightie Mother Earth. 💛

Packaging Tips:

  • 🩷 Use it up first. Reusing existing mailers, bubble wrap and boxes is better than throwing them away.
  • 💙 When restocking… consider paper tape, recycled paper, biodegradable, compostable or recycled bags, envelopes and boxes, or clean second-hand boxes or envelopes.
  • 💛 Aim to reduce new plastic, but it’s okay if you’re still using some while you are working towards transitioning.
  • 🩷 Ask customers to reuse. If materials aren’t fully eco yet, a simple note asking customers to reuse is perfect x

Little note you can pop in parcels:
Thanks so much for supporting a Mightie Maker!
This packaging is reused or chosen to be kinder to the planet.
Please reuse or recycle when you can 💛

12. RETURNS / EXCHANGES / REFUNDS / REPAIRS

By using our service, all sellers agree to abide by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 and our Mighties Promise. Our customers trust us to look after them. Our Mighties Promise and the Consumer Protection Law protects the consumer when buying online. Mightie Makers make it easy for sellers to comply by confirming they agree to abide by our Mightie Makers Promise and compliance to the distance selling law is the responsibility of the Mightie.

The Consumer Protections Regulations are summarised below:

Return Address: Mighties must complete their address in their shop settings within their Privacy Policy (even if this is your home address). Customers have a legal right to this information and it is not optional. If you don’t provide it you are trading illegally.

Unless the item is faulty, the customer is responsible for paying for the cost of return postage. Mighties must provide a return address in all packages.

6 Month Warranty: Customers have a right to return products if they develop a fault within 6 months of receipt. Depending on the circumstances, they may be entitled to a refund (full or partial), repair or replacement.

Sale Products: Customers have exactly the same rights to refunds when they buy items in a sale as when they buy them at full price.

Excluded products: Unless faulty, the following types of products are non-refundable: Personalised, bespoke or made-to-order products (if they cannot easily be resold), products which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) where the seal is broken and emailed digital products.
