Cleen natural wool curls from Mule sheep

100grams

Ready for your crafts. Why not choose a sustainable natural fibre. Suitable for wet felting and needle felting, toy stuffing, doll and animal hair, beards for gonks, spinning and dyeing, bird nesting material, Christmas décor and naturally fire-retardant Santa’s beard and possibilities are endless. Not to mention the calming effect from working with this natural tactile material.

This is surplus wool that I have prepared for my personal projects.

    My Story

Hello there, and thank you for stopping to read about me.

I am ieva (with i, not L) from Audley in Staffordshire. I work with British sheep wool, transforming it from raw, straight from the sheep’s back fleece, to felted, woven and stitched things. Reasons for choosing wool are twofold. I immensely enjoy the feel and the look of wool in any of its transformation stages. And secondly, I see it as one of the most sustainable and circular life materials. I have to mention that a few years back, I was still doing ceramics – making and teaching.

10 years ago, my youngest (22) daughter tragically died. Since then, it’s been a very bumpy road towards having at least some sense of normality. This year, at the age of 54, I have been diagnosed as having Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

I avoid using AI for my creative work and writing, and just in general. They use way too much energy and water, and that’s before even mentioning breaching copyrights.
