Shells Garland, with nautical design, 148 cm long

I used a selection of shells that I have collected myself from beaches I have visited on holiday in Cornwall and Wales to make this garland.
The scallop shells have been hand painted and decoupaged using papers with sea shells, ships and other nautical designs, and some pearls and tiny shells have been added to.
All the shells have been drilled so that I could attach natural jute twine through them, to string them all together to make a garland.
The smaller shells have been hand painted in tones of blue and greens. I also added some gold paint to the edges of the scallop shells.
The result is a one of a kind garland that would look great in a bathroom or beachy themed room!
148 cm long. The scallop shells are 10 by 12 cm and the smaller ones are 4/6 cm.

My Story
I became chronically ill 18 years ago, and 12 years ago I had to give up the job that I loved due to chronic illnesses.
With lots of hours to fill, and no longer able to do much physically, I turned to crafting.
Over the years I've dabbled in many crafts, but embroidery especially has become my passion.
I also like to decoupage,hand decorate items, make handmade cards and I also dabble in a little needle felting from time to time!
Crafting is literally my therapy!
I love creating beautiful things to sell,and hopefully bring some joy to others too!
I live with chronic pain and fatigue, and numerous other symptoms due to Fibromyalgia and Degenerative Disc Disease. I also have Urticarial Vasculitus, High Blood Pressure, Hypothyroidism and Depression.
