My Story
Hello I have Multiple Sclerosis, APS and Rheumatoid Arthritis. My mum taught me to knit and crochet when I was about 5 or 6 and I used to sit for hours with my best friend knitting / crocheting dog blankets eating lemon curd sandwiches. As a working adult I never had time to knit or crochet and forgot about all the fun I had doing this as a child. I worked hard and was the VP of a local FE College. This abruptly came to an end when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis aged 39. I retired from work and volunteered with the Chinese Crested Dog Rescue. This started my love of the breed and I rescued two baldy boys of my own (Toodles and Waggy - who have sadly both crossed the rainbow bridge aged 15 and 17). I started making them blankets and warm woolly jumpers to wear as they were always cold. I soon branched out into making jewellery, machine embroidery, and many other crafts, but I always came back to my love of knitting and crocheting. As my MS has progressed I only concentrate on my knitting / crochet. I spend my days knitting / crocheting with my dogs Benny, Minnie and Squishy always by my side in my little workshop in our high street store (my husband owns a table top gaming shop).
