My Story
In 1989 I (Sue) was diagnosed with IBS but as the years have gone its not improved. Recently had tests diagnosing microscopic colitis. Having more tests as it's been debilitating recently.
16 years ago had dental treatment that resulted in chronic pain every day since then. Had many ex-rays etc, numerous medications (none worked), acupuncture, surgery, CBT, Hypnotherapy. There were many many times when I could have just laid in a heap and not get up but one day I decided that this wasn't going to define me or my life. I researched and read, watched videos and gained knowledge. This has led me to wholeheartedly believe this 'pain' is in my head! My 'pain' is now a sensation and it's called Sissy! I acknowledge and positively talk to her. It's a daily ritual but I don't live in fear anymore.
Oh yes, we both have arthritis in various parts of our bodies - but that's for another day 😁
