Handmade Baby Girl Daisy Sun Dress

At the age of 22, my life changed overnight. I was suddenly struck by overwhelming dizziness, feeling faint and extreme fatigue. With no apparent cause or explanation, I began to experience severe depression and anxiety alongside my physical symptoms.

After 15 years of psychological treatment, with no improvement in my physical health, I was finally diagnosed with ME/CFS. It was a huge relief to discover that what I'd been experiencing wasn't "all in my head". From then on, I did my best to build a life around my limitations rather than constantly fighting them.

Over the decades I've struggled to maintain regular employment. There were periods when life seemed easier, but they always ended with another "crash". Since my most recent crash, I've begun to understand that many of my symptoms appear to be linked to dysautonomia and hypermobility. For the first time in over 35 years, many pieces of the puzzle are finally starting to fit together. My journey of self-discovery continues.

I learned to crochet to give me something positive and productive to focus on at a pace my body could manage. What started as a therapeutic hobby soon became a passion.

Aquarian Inspirations was inspired by three of my beautiful grandchildren, who were all born under the sign of Aquarius. They rekindled my love of creating and inspired me to make timeless, handcrafted pieces that can be treasured for years to come.

Every item I make is handcrafted with patience, care and attention to detail. Working around my health means I create at a slower pace, but I believe that's part of what makes handmade so special—every stitch is made with love.
